Our 25th Reunion took place on Saturday, November 24th at the Casa di Fior in Wilmington.
For those of you who weren't able to attend, you missed such a good time!
We had 130 people attend from 14 different states and one other country.
Robin Fiorenza did a fabulous job of rolling out the red carpet
for us! A big thank you again goes out to Peter Healey for donating
his services and playing awesome 80's music for all of us to
enjoy! He certainly knows how to get us all on the dance floor!
Rich Hegarty put together an entertaining short video of our
past. It brought back so many memories!. Thank you so much Rich;
it was so much fun to watch! We also want to thank the folks who sponsored the spectacular
chocolate fountain: Tom Ciulla, Elaine D'Ambrosio, Jeff Danzig,
Michael Doucette, Elena (Reis) Doucette, John Romano and Jean
(Scannell) Brian. That was such a treat!
In order to replenish the funds of our SHS 1982 Scholarship account, we raffled off
a few items and held a 50/50 Raffle. The raffle grossed $830,
so the winner, Terri Maffeo (Chico's wife), won $415! [An extra
special thank you goes out to Karen (Corso) Agnitti for selling
a ton of raffle tickets!] And the raffle items grossed $700!
The winners were: Epson Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax - Karen Napoli
(John's wife), 2007 Red Sox World Champion Crystal - Michael
Doucette, and Bose Wave Music System - Lynett Larkin-Silva.
So we now have $1115 to put towards our Scholarship Fund at the high
school. If we want to give out a $500 scholarship to a graduating
senior for the next 3 years, we'll need to add $385 to it. If
you weren't able to attend and you would like to contribute
to this very worthy cause, please send a check made payable
to SHS Class of 1982, P.O. Box 326, Stoneham, MA 02180. Please
mark the memo line: scholarship fund. On the way out the door
I hope that you grabbed your take home gifts: 1) That incredible
CD of '80s music produced by Peter, Scott Malonson, and Noreen, and
2) the booklet designed by Stephen Boyle which contained our
Class Will, Class Prophecy and Class History.
